Val Fex is a remote and enchanted valley stretching at an altitude of 1800 meters alongside the river Inn in upper Engadine, Switzerland. Only twenty minutes drive from glamorous Saint Moritz, Val Fex nestles between the charming small town of Sils Maria and the Vadret glacier. Just below are the lakes of Sils and St Moritz, unrivalled in the region for their beauty.
While it is easy to locate the valley geographically, it is more difficult to describe its distance from the modern world. This is a place of uncontaminated peace and tranquillity, almost car-free, and can only be reached via horse-drawn carriage. On entering the valley one is immediately transported back into a past century. Sils and Val Fex have been home to Friedrich Nietzsche and Herman Hesse, amongst other philosophers and various musicians in the past. The valley is still home to a couple of world acclaimed directors who are inspired by this unique place.
Our base in the valley is a small pensione which has been run by the same family for the last thirty-five years and is renowned for the quality of its food. Swiss-pristine and quaint, it is the most sought after accommodation in Fex. The rooms are simple and cosy with private shower-rooms.
The landscape is varied from high pastures, woods, lakes, glaciers, to
rocky mountains. The walks are all moderate. June is the blooming season
for a spectacular range of wild alpine flowers, and October is the month
when the whole valley dons a coat of yellow larches in sharp contrast
to the dark blue of the lakes below.
Our guests flying into Milan Linate airport on a morning flight, will
be met by our driver. From there, the drive to Sils is about two hours
and then a horse-drawn carriage will take you up to Fex to begin your
walkwithin adventure.
Our 7-night-week here will be structured as follows: three ‘typical walkwithin
days’ followed by a fourth day (which is free and will allow our guests
to rest or visit Sils and Saint Moritz), and two more days of full activity.
A minibus runs twice every day to Sils for those guests who wish to skip
the program on the odd day.

Price includes: transport to and from Milan Linate to Val Fex, all the guided walks, six sessions of individual therapy, six massages, bed & breakfast accommodation for the seven nights, six pic-nic lunches, seven evening meals, afternoon tea and sundown drinks. The price does not include flights to and from Milan, and wine.

Price for the second occupant includes: everything as for the first occupant but no therapy sessions unless couple counselling is available. Massages can be arranged for accompanying guests and will be charged separately.
Early booking is recommended as the place is very sought after by an international and affectionate clientele.

8.00 am - 9.00 am Breakfast

3.00 pm - 8.00 pm Individual psychotherapy sessions and massages

Dress code
For the walks: hiking boots and proper socks, rucksack and waterproof jacket and trousers are recommended.
For dinner: as you like it. Relaxed elegance is welcomed.
