walkwithin - tread a path of self discovery

All holidays operated by walkwithin (hereinafter also designated by 'we'/'us') are sold subject to the terms of business set out below, which form part of the contract made between you and walkwithin.

1. To make a booking please send us a completed booking form indicating the kind of accommodation you prefer. Upon receipt of it, and subject to availability, you will be sent an invoice for the full price of the holiday. In order to secure your place we kindly ask you to pay the invoice in full (if it is within 8 weeks from the start date), or to send us 10% of the full price if your booking is made more than 8 weeks before the start date. In this latter case, please note that the full balance is due at least 8 weeks before the start date, and that failure to comply with this will unfortunately result in the termination of your contract with us and the loss of your deposit.

2. Should you wish to cancel your holiday please give us written notice of cancellation either to info@walkwithin.co.uk, or to the following postal address: Stefania Piazzalunga T/A walkwithin, 28 Old Brompton Road, London SW7 3SS, UK.

The following cancellation charges apply:

Dates when we receive your written notice of cancellation Cancellation charges
8 weeks before the start date 10% of the full price
more than 4 but less than 8 weeks before the start date 50% of the full price
less than 4 weeks before the start date 100% of the full price

3. In the unlikely event that unfavourable circumstances beyond our reasonable control force us to cancel your walkwithin holiday, you will be immediately notified. Should this happen you can choose between one of the following options: a) receive a full refund, or b) choose an alternative walkwithin holiday, if we are able to offer one that is appealing to you (in this case if the substituted holiday is of a lesser value, you will be refunded the difference in price; if the substituted holiday is of a higher value you will be charged for the difference).

4. Please note that you are responsible for arranging and purchasing your flight tickets to the holiday destination. On the start and on the departure dates of your holiday, transfers to and from the airports indicated on the holiday description will be arranged for you if you have given us written confirmation of your flight details. These transfers are included in the holiday price.

5. Any information or advice given to you by walkwithin on matters such as travel arrangements, visas, climate, clothing, baggage or special equipment is given in good faith but without responsibility on the part of walkwithin.

6. Any itinerary, walk or brochure information provided by walkwithin for your holiday must be taken as an indication of what the holiday is likely to involve. Although we endeavour to respect the programs and timetables indicated in the holiday description, necessary changes may be imposed by weather, mechanical breakdown, industrial action, sickness or other unforeseen circumstances. It is therefore a condition of joining any walkwithin holiday that you understand and accept this flexibility and acknowledge that delays and alterations to the programs are possible.

7. Should you choose not to complete an itinerary or a walk outlined for a holiday, walkwithin is not liable to supply alternative itineraries, excursions, visits, accommodation or other services.

8. On guided walks it is important and necessary that you accept the authority of our guide and comply with his/her instructions.

9. Our therapists or occupational psychologists work within the ethical framework of the association by which they are accredited (BPS, BACP, UKCP). It is in your interest to attend your daily session regularly and on time. Missed sessions cannot be replaced at different times, nor refunded. In order to respect boundaries and confidentiality, therapists and psychologists do not have the evening meals with the guests.

10. If you commit an illegal act or, if in the reasonable opinion of the guide or our local representatives your behaviour is likely to cause danger, distress or annoyance to other participants, we may terminate your holiday without any liability on our part.

11. By submitting this form to walkwithin you confirm to have contracted a personal travel insurance valid for the whole duration of your holiday with us. You also agree to give us full indication of its details in the booking form.

12. Please clearly specify in the booking form the details of the person to contact in case of emergency.

13. Please note that walkwithin is not responsible for the damage or loss of your personal belongings or valuables during your holiday with us.

14. Should you have any complaints about your holiday, please make this known at the earliest opportunity to the guide or the local representative, who will normally be able to take appropriate action.

15. These terms of business may only be waived or amended by written mutual consent. When you complete and submit the booking form you agree to understand and accept all these terms of business.

16. The contract between you and walkwithin will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
